Jorge Barani

Jorge Barani was Born in Matanzas, Cuba and graduated from the National School of Art Ballet in Havana, Cuba before joining The Ballet de Monterrey Company in Mexico (Luis Serrano) in 2010. 

Barani came to the United States in August 2012 and has performed as a freelance International Guest Artist and with such companies as Ballet San Jose (Jose Manuel Carreno),  Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida (Vladimir Issaev), Northwest Florida Ballet (Todd Eric Allen), Soloist with Cincinnati Ballet (Victoria Morgan) and Principal Danseur with Kentucky Ballet Theatre (Norbe Risco). Jorge was invited to the final YAGP Gala in New York City, dancing with Maria Kochetkova from San Francisco Ballet. 

His repertoire includes the title roles in all the traditional repertory ballets as well as leading roles in Peter Pan, The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Paquita, La Sylphide, Le Corsaire, Harlequinade, Don Quixote, Paris Flames, Talisman, Diana and Actaeon, and Laurencia. Jorge has been featured in numerous contemporary and neoclassical works including works by international choreographers including, Septime Weber, Katia Garza, Devon Carney, to name a few.

Barani has been invited to dance at International Galas in Asia, Canada, Cuba, Europe, Mexico, Russia and is available and works actively as a Guest Artist worldwide. Most recently in October 2018 Jorge was honored to guest perform at the prestigious Festival internacional de Ballet de la Habana performing alongside some of the worlds greatest ballet stars, directed and invited by Alicia Alonso
